Amp’d Mobile launched in the United States in late 2005. It was a MVNO and it’s primary non-Venture Capital investors were MTV Networks and the Universal Music Group. The service targeted 18-35 year olds, and was the first integrated mobile entertainment company, as well as the first 3G carrier to appeal to the youth market.
