Overview
Halvsie is the nickname I gave to my racial identity of being half Japanese, and half from Ohio. Upon returning from living in Japan for two years I wanted to find others who were the product of an interracial marriage, like myself. With the sponsorship of the Oregon Nikkei Legacy Center, I collected a core team of about 13 in Portland, Oregon, and launched an online forum to build a digital community.
